You can also view the Google Map I’ve made pinpointing pubs on the 100 Pubs Project to get a visual of the places I’ve been to. Some pubs on the map may not yet have an entry yet on the blog, so think of it as a sneak peak to what pub I might write about next, once I get around to it.
Hello Doreen,
First, I love Tasty Fever! Just stumbled upon it today. Brilliant stuff! I read your first pub study on Blackfriers and it was spot on. I was there in 2004 (by my self) on a crowded thursday evening around 6pm. I was there for over an hour sampling a few pints (Speckled Hen) watching the people and absorbing the interior ambience and architecture. I refrained from taking photos for fear of being spotted as a tourist, but I wish I would have taken that risk in retrospect. I also had a good experience at The Coal Hole over on the Strand near the Savoy theater. I visited in 2003 with my father. I loved the cozy dining room upstairs and the quality of the service and staff. I have read less flattering reviews but I was very pleased. http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/81/813/Coal_Hole/Strand
Best of luck with the Project ! Looking forward to future posts.
Cheers!
David
Hi, David, thanks! Your post got in the spam queue somehow, but it’s been rescued. Thanks for the recommendation of The Coal Hole. I’ve been outside it, but haven’t yet been in. I’m sure it will pop up on the list eventually.
Thanks again for reading, and sorry it took so long for your comment to appear.
